On Saturday, Oct. 26, the University of Arkansas along with more than 30 partner agencies for the year’s Make a Difference Day, one of the largest annual single days of service.

This has been a University of Arkansas tradition for over 20 years. The Volunteer Action Center coordinates and implements a variety of service projects with local non-profits and community organizations. Last year the center had over 20 projects and more than 900 volunteers with 3,470 hours, which resulted with an economic impact of $85,674.

Volunteering kick-offs at 8 a.m. on the Union Mall this Saturday with free breakfast and snacks before volunteers get a free T-shirt and meet with there project leaders before heading out to their project site.
