About Us

The Volunteer Action Center is the student-led division of the Center for Community Engagement that connects students at the University of Arkansas to service opportunities on and off-campus. The VAC seeks to foster a positive relationship between students at the University of Arkansas and the Northwest Arkansas community through it’s six signature programs, Be BOLD, Dream BIG, the Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry, the PAL Program, Razorback Food Recovery, and Student Engagement.

Meet the Executive Board and the Associates

The Volunteer Action Center’s Executive Board consists of five distinct positions that come together to amplify the VAC’s six signature programs. With the assistance of four Associates, the Executive Board supports each of the program’s community-wide efforts by planning weekly board meetings characterized by educational field trips, guest speakers, and workshops; creating meaningful relationships with staff, administrators, and organizations on-campus to continue expanding the VAC’s on-campus impact; and promoting the community-oriented nature to provide an invaluable personal, professional, and leadership development experience.
