
Natalie O'Brien
President
Natalie serves as the President of the Volunteer Action Center. She is majoring in Sociology, Criminology, and African and African American Studies with minors in History, Political Science, and Southern Studies. Natalie is from Bentonville, AR, and she first got involved with the VAC her freshman year while working at the front desk. In past years, she served as the Historian, Vice President of Board History and Education, and the Executive Summer Intern. Natalie loves the VAC because it allows students to explore their passions while fostering a love for service.

Jacob Holmes
Vice President of Operations
Jacob Holmes serves as the Vice President of Operations for the Volunteer Action Center. He is a senior majoring in Industrial Engineering and Operations Analytics, French, and German with minors in Engineering Management, Japanese with a Business Orientation, and Mathematics. Jacob is from Rector, Arkansas, and he first got involved with the VAC when he volunteered as a front-desk volunteer for the Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry (FCFP) during the spring semester of his freshman year. In previous years, he served as the Data and Operations Coordinator and Intern for the FCFP. Jacob loves being in the VAC because it is an extremely supportive organization that tangibly effects change in the university and Fayetteville community, and he loves getting to use his technical skills to help.

Vice President of Communications

Gwen Keith-Powell
GivePulse Intern
Gwen Keith-Powell serves as the GivePulse Intern of the VAC Executive team. She is a senior from Little Rock, Arkansas and is majoring in Environmental, Soil, and Water Science and minoring in Philosophy, Sustainability, and Biology. Gwen first got involved with the VAC during A-Week of her freshman year, after which she began to volunteer in different positions with the Full Circle Food Pantry. In past years, she served as the Mobile Food Coordinator and the Chair of the food pantry. Gwen loves working with the VAC because she gets to meet and help connect passionate students to service opportunities while making a positive impact on Northwest Arkansas communities.

MJ Ferguson
Vice President of Inclusion and Programming
MJ Ferguson serves as the Executive Board’s Vice President of Inclusion and Programming. He is a junior majoring in Political Science, International and Global Relations, and African and African American Studies with a minor in Philosophy and Economics. MJ is from Bryant, Arkansas, and he first got involved with the VAC when he served as the Service Engagement Ambassador during his freshman year. In his past year in the VAC, he served as the GY10 Coordinator for Service Engagement; while also serving as a PAL Mentor, and an RFR Repack Volunteer. MJ loves being involved with the VAC because he values the collective passion for building a brighter community that shines through every board member and volunteer as they plan and carry out their service opportunities and community-oriented events.

Esther Beller
Vice President of Board History and Education
Esther Beller serves as the Vice President of Board History and Education on the Executive team. She is a senior from Cave City, Arkansas and is majoring in Accounting and Business Economics with a minor in Nonprofit Studies. Esther started volunteering with the PAL program as a freshman and grew to love the vision of the program and the other work of the VAC. In past years, she has served as Volunteer Coordinator and Intern for PAL and is excited to continue working towards the vision and mission of the VAC.

Amanda Marquez
Associate for Creative Content & Design
Amanda Marquez serves as the Exec Associate of Creative Content and Design. She is a senior majoring in Political Science with minors in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies. Amanda is from Dallas, Texas, and this is her first year with the VAC. Amanda loves being involved with the VAC because it allows her to give back to the community and make a positive impact with those who are equally as passionate.

Lillian Griffith
Associate of Web Strategies and Analytics
Lillian is the Associate of Web Strategy and Analytics for the Volunteer Action Center (VAC). She is a senior double-majoring in Communication Sciences & Disorders and Spanish. Lillian is from Springfield, MO and she first got involved with the VAC her freshman year when she volunteered with Razorback Food Recovery. During her sophomore year, she served on the VAC board as Communications Coordinator for the Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry. During her junior year, she served on the Executive Board as Associate for Creative Content and Design. Lillian loves being involved with community service opportunities through the VAC and enjoys encouraging other students to get involved too.
