Sarah Waller serves as the Service Engagement Chair. She is a Senior Majoring in Psychology, Criminology, and Sociology with a minor in Legal Studies! Sarah is from Houston Texas and she first got involved with the VAC in 2023. In 2023 Sarah served as an ambassador for Service engagement and last year served as the membership coordinator for the service engagement team! Sarah loves being involved with the VAC because it has given her a service based community that has fostered her love for service and given her the space to develop as a service oriented leader!

Rylee serves as the Service Engagement Intern. She is a junior majoring in biomedical engineering from Harrison, Arkansas. Rylee first got involved with the VAC as volunteer with MADD her freshman year, and was later a PAL volunteer. Last year, she served as a Service Engagement Volunteer Coordinator. Rylee loves being involved with the VAC because it has allowed her to meet so many welcoming, service-minded people while giving back to her community.

Brooke Smith serves as the Service Engagement Volunteer Coordinator. She is an Innovative Research and Entrepreneurship Major with a focus in Nonprofit Studies. Brooke is from Austin, where she grew her love for service. She first got involved with the VAC her freshman year where she served as the Freshman Service Program Coordinator for Service Engagement. Brooke is passionate about nonprofit work and hopes to open up her own one day. She loves being involved with the VAC because of its mission and the loving culture that follows!

Jessica serves as the Service Engagement Volunteer Coordinator. She is a junior majoring in Psychology, with a minor in Political Science and Sociology. Jessica is from North Little Rock Arkansas and she first got involved in the VAC this past summer as the SE Summer Intern. Jessica loves being involved with the VAC because it allows her to make an impact by bridging the gap between students and the NWA community.

Taija Frierson serves as Communications Coordinator for the Service Engagement team. She is a Junior majoring in Computer Science. Taija Frierson is from Helena, Arkansas, and she first became involved with the Volunteer Action Center when she volunteered with the freshman service program, helping to clean Northwest Arkansas through a community cleanup. Taija Frierson loves being involved with the VAC because it helps her find her purpose here at the University of Arkansas by giving back to the community.

Samuel serves as the Get Your Ten Coordinator for the Service Engagement Team. He is a junior majoring in Technical Geography and History. Samuel is from Bryant, AR, and he first got involved with the VAC through the Passionate About Literacy Mentor program. This is his first year as a member of the VAC Board. Samuel loves being involved with the VAC because he gets to work hands-on with many students in the University of Arkansas community.

Nova serves as Service Engagement’s Find Your Impact Coordinator. She is a sophomore majoring in Accounting, and her hometown is Lincoln, Nebraska. She first got started in the VAC as a Service Engagement Ambassador, where she developed a passion for helping students find ways to serve that best supported their goals. Nova loves being involved with the VAC because it allows her to not only serve the NWA community, but also connects her with fellow students who want to help make the world a better place through volunteering.

Nathan Mishra serves as the Service Engagement Membership Coordinator. Nathan is a sophomore majoring in biomedical engineering with a minor in mathematics and is from Maumelle, AR. He got involved with the VAC through the ambassador program in his freshman year. Nathan loves how the VAC combines a variety of perspectives to enhance the quality of service on campus!

Nivriti serves as the Freshman Service Program Coordinator on the Service Engagement team. She is a freshman majoring in Business Economics and Political Science on the pre-law track. She is from Bentonville and she got involved with the VAC to continue her interests in community service, especially having been actively involved in various service projects throughout high school. By being on the VAC Board, Nivriti hopes to educate herself, work with new people, and initiate change for the betterment of our community!
