Miceala Morano
Chair
Miceala Morano serves as the Membership Coordinator for the Volunteer Action Center. She is a sophomore majoring in journalism with a focus in multimedia production and storytelling and is originally from West Fork, AR. Miceala first learned about the VAC by serving as a project leader for Make A Difference Day 2022 and joined the board this year. Miceala loves how the VAC fosters community on campus through a shared passion for community service!
Claire Worthington
Intern
Claire serves as the Student Engagement Intern for the Volunteer Action Center. Claire is a senior at the University of Arkansas majoring in Biology with a double minor in General Business and Legal Studies on a Pre-Law track. Claire is originally from Shawnee, KS and first learned about the VAC through Givepulse. Her favorite part about the VAC is the welcoming atmosphere, the people she has met on the board, and the chance to share her passion for service with students across campus.
Rylee Myers
Volunteer Coordinator
Rylee Myers serves as a Volunteer Coordinator for the Student Engagement team of the Volunteer Action Center (VAC). Rylee is a sophomore majoring in biomedical engineering from Harrison, Arkansas. She first heard about the VAC during A-Week and was a PAL volunteer! This is Rylee’s first year on the board, and she loves having the chance to create relationships with other student leaders and connect volunteers with local organizations. Rylee is looking forward to a great year of service and memorable experiences with the VAC!
Jessica Doss
Volunteer Coordinator
Jessica Doss is a sophomore majoring in Biochemistry and Anthropology, and serves as one of two Volunteer Coordinators for the Volunteer Action Center’s Student Engagement Team. She is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas. Jessica first learned about the VAC in her freshman year on Make a Difference Day and through friends, and joined the board their sophomore year. Jessica loves how the VAC brings together students from all walks of college experiences to provide meaningful volunteer service and establish deep-rooted community connections!

MJ Ferguson
Get Your 10 Coordinator
MJ is the Get Your 10 Coordinator for the 2024-2025 school year. He is currently a sophomore studying Political Science and International and Global Studies. MJ loves connecting with everyone he meets and especially loves with connecting with individuals during volunteer service. Perla Juarez-Escamilla
Freshmen Service Program Coordinator
Perla Juarez-Escamilla is the Freshman Service Program Coordinator for the Volunteer Action Center. She is a freshman student majoring in Biology. Her past volunteer experiences have reinforced her desire to continue volunteering around her community. She enjoys collaborating with her team members to best serve the razorback and NWA community!
Sarah Waller
Membership Coordinator
Sarah is a Junior at Uark majoring in Psychology, Criminology, and Sociology with a minor in legal studies. She is from Houston Texas and as an out of state student was looking for ways to be involved on campus. Sarah’s VAC journey began attendending make a difference day (MADD) in 2022 to being a project leader for MADD and ambassador for the student engagement team, to now being membership coordinator for student engagement. Being membership cordinator will allow me to build the community for members of the VAC like the one I’ve found being on the board.
Brooke Smith
Freshman Service Program Coordinator
Brooke is the Freshman Service Program Coordinator and is from New Braunfels, Texas. She’s a freshman that is majoring in Social Work and minoring in child advocacy, nonprofit studies, and general business. With this education she hopes to open up her own transitional housing non profit. Brooke chose her position at the VAC because she has many hours of experience with volunteering and coordinating projects of her own. Brooke loves all the opportunities the VAC and Student Engagement team provides for her and hoped to use her skills to make the U of A a do good campus.
