Ella Nations is a senior from Prairie Grove, Arkansas majoring in English with minors in Geology, History, and Spanish. Ella currently serves as Chair of the PAL board. She first heard about the VAC from her friends, and she starting volunteering her sophomore year. Her favorite thing about PAL is the opportunity to bring elementary and college students from many different backgrounds together through the love of stories.

Esther Beller is the Intern for the Passionate About Literacy Program. She is a junior from Cave City, Arkansas and is majoring in Accounting and Economics with a minor in Nonprofit Studies. Esther started volunteering with the PAL program as a freshman and grew to love the vision of the program and the support she provided her mentee. Last year, she served as a Volunteer Coordinator for PAL and is excited to continue working with the program.

Development Coordinator

Tori Hudson is the Development Coordinator for the Passionate About Literacy Program. She is a junior majoring in Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Innovation with minors in Nonprofit Studies, Political Science, and Economics. Tori has been volunteering with PAL since the beginning of her sophomore year, and fell in love with the supportive environment of the VAC. Outside of PAL, she serves as an honors college ambassador, Director of Operations for Women Impacting Supply Chain Excellence (WISE), and a member of the the Days for Girls program. Tori is excited to continue with her involvement in PAL to promote the importance of literacy through NWA!

 

 

 

Addie Jones

Communications Coordinator

Addie Jones serves as the communications coordinator for Passionate About Literacy. She is a junior majoring in journalism and political science with minors in gender studies, nonprofit studies, and rhetoric writing studies. Addie works as a content writing intern for the Walton College of Business and is the lifestyles editor for the Arkansas Traveler newspaper. On campus, she is also a reporter for Hill Magazine, DEI coordinator for her sorority (Tri Delta), vice-chair for Headliners Concert Committee, and copy editor for the Roots Climate Magazine. Addie got involved with the VAC her freshman year as a PAL volunteer and joined the board her sophomore year as a volunteer coordinator. She is excited to continue on the PAL board this year and work to ensure people are aware of the incredible work this program is doing to promote reading engagement and mentorship in the NWA community!

Grace Kim

Volunteer Coordinator

Grace Kim serves as one of the volunteer coordinators for the Passionate About Literacy organization within the Volunteer Action Center. She is a sophomore majoring in communication sciences & disorders and psychology. Grace began volunteering with the VAC her freshman year and especially loved her experience as a PAL mentor. Reading has always been a significant part of her life, and she seeks to develop better methods for understanding and treating children. Grace is so excited and grateful for the opportunity to foster meaningful connections, support personal and professional growth, and promote literacy in the NWA community through her role in the PAL program.
